Title sez it all really. Not very nice on Saturday, got some work done though. Got worse on Sunday, got a little bit of work done. Utterly horrible on Monday. Gave up and came home

No hope of getting in the water this month now. Could end up being May before we get a chance to try the new sails and rigging :-(

Pissed off doesn't even come close

All i need now is for the roads between Kettering and Wolverhampton to be blocked tomorrow afternoon

Naw! The sun will be shining! Or it will be snowing :-((

It's a real pain when you have to travel a distance to the boat and the weather window closes (or slams in your face!), still once you are back in the water it will all be forgotten and the magic of sailing will return.
 
After my brilliance in getting my fitting-out done in March last year, I have this feeling that this year is not going to go well. I did 28 yrs of fitting- out when I was working and remember that it was seldom fun.
 
I think slam in the face pretty well sums it up. The icicles growing visibly by the hour on the cockpit tent were the final straw in Monday!

Off to see Quo tomorrow then back to Fambridge on Thursday with a huge list if outstanding jobs
 
well, with an element of smugness, me and Roger achieved loads on Saturday. Admittedly it's got to be warmer in central London than out in the boondocks and St Kats is very sheltered. Cindy came and helped us check the standing and running rigging. We fitted the chart plotter, depth, log and radio. Battery connected, facility to charge installed, solar panel working. :D well chuffed.

Well, its this sort of tent like thing that goes over the cockpit!

Its not particularly fancy and its not a particularly good fit but its quite useful for keeping the worst of the weather at bay

We did have a similarly good day on Saturday but it went downhill from there

To reasure you it is not always sunshiine and champaign sailing..

We have reached N Spain, It has suddenly turned very cold and wet..we are threatoned by snow today...
And we have suddenly sprung a leak over the bed....
Walking in the rain and the snow when there is nowhere to go looses the appeal after a while..

I feel very bad about the fact that this does actually make me feel slightly happier :)
