A deaf-blind jetskier is setting open-sea crossing records. It's a worthy attempt, and I'm sure he's a brave guy, but...but... it says so much about the way people don't think of jetski's on the open water as lethal.

You couldn't make it up.

He's deaf as well. Blind yachtspeople usually steer using an audio compass.

Wonder if they published a passage plan (and intended destination) post or prior to landfall? But seriously you've got to respect these guys those with the disability & those who take the time to help them .. no matter what they choose to do.

I climbed once with a guy that was stone deaf ... once was enough for me!

Apparently, according to Anglia News he was blind and deaf with a pillion passenger to advise direction etc(using nudges, taps on arm etc). Must have had a support vessel for refulleing but no mention in the news - return journey cancelled due to engine problems and gales.
