over the past 9 months i have been stuck in Holland (and the boon docks at that) refitting the boat i am skipper of, today is the leaving day!! horray. heading for spain, canaries, cape town, indian ocean and on to Japan. will be good to be moving again.

anyway get to the point man...

i have not been a regular poster but have been a regular voyuer and wish to thank you all for the keeping me ammused/thinking/laughing/crying over the enforced lay-up.

so if you see a blue hulled 50' dutch ali boat named Meta lurching in a barely controled fashion down the channel in the next few days stay well clear but give us a wave!

the boat was built in st petersburg (the russian one) last year, hull etc all good but internal systems on the crap side of terrible so all deck fitting off (electrolysis probs), all plumbing replaced, total rewire, paint removal on deck, all deck fitting replaced, oh and a bit of varnish slapped here and there.
