... for a really great weekend to and from Oostende. Light winds meant lots of motoring unfortunately, but a brilliant couple of hours under sail at the end, more than made up for it. It's the first time I've sailed on the East Coast since I was a kid, and it was good to be there again. Thanks also to TandoriKen, for a memorable curry.
I will leave it to Neil to explain the rules of an innovative new game invented by Allan. I can't remember the exact name we gave it in the end, but can't help feeling that it ought to be called either "Stay with me on this" or "Help me here".
A general seamanship question arose on the journey from dahn Sarf to Shotley but it has a wider general application, so I've posted it on Snufflebanks.
