Last Saturday I had engine overheating problems on board Colonia, in no wind, between St Albans Head & Anvil Point. We ended up making a call to Portland CG.
The CG tasked Swanage lifeboat to come out and asked for anybody nearby to stand by.
An LM Vitesse 33 called Marquis, en route to Weymouth, turned back and punched the tide back to our position. When I heard that the life boat was on the way I suggested that Marquis could set off again to Weymouth. They said that they would stand by until the life boat arrived which was about 30 minutes later.
I would like to offer my sincere thanks to the crew of Marquis for this kindness. I've got no idea who they are - if it's you thanks very much. If you know who the crew is please pass on my thanks.
