I posted about my Lavac not working properly and your tip proved to be correct.Went to the boat today, refitted everything making sure the seat was flat on the bowl and, magic, everything works as it should.What's more I've owned the boat for nearly 10 years and the thing had been badly assemble all this time.

If these are not aligned correctly new seals wont cure the leak, align by adjusting the height setting of hinges.
