A big shout out to Dave the boatman and the Squib dinghy sailers of Burnham RCYC who located my tender and outboard on Sunday morning!

After a brilliant shakedown sail from Tollesbury and an excellent evening in the hostelries of BOC, I lazily attached the tender with a couple of X's to an aft cleat and crashed out... Next morning, no tender.....

Luckily for me the dinghy racers were just setting off and promised to radio back if they found it, which they did, about a mile downstream.

Various lessons learnt....

Glad you got your dinghy back, and that people were happy to help.
Due to my paranoia that’s probably one of the banana skins I’m less likely to be upended by.
The last time I returned to the mother ship slightly over-lubricated I secured the painter with so many granny knots that it required paracetamol and a marline spike to free it.
