Just got home after a brilliant weekend. I would like to thank Brendon for all the hard work in organsing the bash, also MDL for the nice food and use of the facilities, the great posh (and correct) badges and also the others who helped quietly in the background, and lastly Kim for setting up another Forum for us.

Great to meet you all, I really enjoyed my first real sea outing, I think the bug is getting me (No, NOT that one Depsol) /forums/images/icons/laugh.gif

Cheers,

Re: Rumour mongering

Rather than zillions of threads here and on the meet forum thanking everyone....we need lots on dishing the dirt, rumour mongering and juicy stories!

OK, so we could start with Col "3 wheels on my wagon", and Andy (Seven)'s catch the fender contest...

I\'ve moored the boat.

Stingo and I had big hang overs. really big.

So we went to Newtown, it was horrible weather, TCM said that Lanason had broken down so having passed him on the way we went back to check, he was ok, so we wnet for a look at the big ship, weather was shite sowe went back to Hamble, I said I'd moor the boat and then take Stinko back to Mercury, cept whilst mooring the boat Igot the mooring line wrapped round the prop shaft, oh joy.

Have got this afternoon off to go and fix it..................it'll just unwind right? no need for a diver?

Re: Rumour mongering

It has been suggested that as Col didn't even notice one of his 4 props were missing on the trip back to Mercury, he should try taking a few more off and see what happens to the performance /forums/images/icons/wink.gif

If anyone is in the Newton area this week, could they please keep a lookout for a shiny glinty stainless steel thingie!

Re: Rumour mongering

Col panics when I take him for a spin in C I waters and I make sure hes got at least 8 inches of draft spare but he has managed to cabbage his own props twice in 12 months.

Re: Rumour mongering

Personally, Duncan, I would say you weren't entirely blameless in this affair. If you hadn't insisted he pour copious amounts of Pussers down his neck the previous evening, he might have been awake to the situation and realised that the big green pile was there for a reason. It does have to be said though, that his statement that it shouldn't have happened as he had been there countless times before, was an extremely weak defence and wouldn't stand up in court m'lud. Perhaps in hindsight he should have just stayed in bed nursing his hangover and let Lian & I helm us over to Newtown Creek.
