thames slipways

i did think of that but there is a massive wall and a high kerb.

I wd need burgundyben's very advanced yet complicated self-hoiking crane contraption in the boot to fling the car over the wall from the slow lane of the Embankment, or the coach drop-off layby would be okay. Then presumably the crane itself would have to have springs to somehow jump over the wall into the river, swim over to the car and climb into the boot. At the other end, with a dodgy slipery slimey slipway , the crane will have to swim ashore leaving a shackles attched to the front of the boatcar, grapple itself ashore possibly using the "leap" facilty as above, then haul the car out by retracting the wire. Yes, that might work.

There's an amphibvious bus thingy that goes into the water by one of the bridges and all but drowns its occupants when the wake from a passing canoeist hits it. Reckon it must be close to Embankment, but on the sarf side of the river.

They aint called slipways, they call the Drawdocks, no I don't know why either. Theres the one next to the oh so secret MI 5 building that the frog bus thing uses. Theres one on the north side of the river just passed Southwark bridge. Its between 2 buildings and is wide enough for a car. Theres also one on the Isle of Dogs one down a Greenwich and I know of another one but can't remember the name of the road . I think its an old ferry landing place from the days of Dickens.

I've often used the boat to get into the center of Londinium. Its not much quicker than doing by Tube. A bit more hassel and mooring is mostly non existant unless you want to pay stupid costs on one ot two of the piers. Wife used to work in one of the HSBC buildings in the city off Luwrance Poutney Hill. That had a mooring of sorts but was useless LWS. Pose factor is quiet high though, when I picked her up from work in the boat. On the whole though forget it. The place is an open sewer!
