That's a bit worrying. I'm used to picking bits of plastic bags and string on my props, but I've never hit anything big enough to punch a hole in a steel boat. Those are big boats and don't cruise much above 10 - 15 kts. Bit rough to hit something as big at 30 kts with plastic.

It hit the supports of Westminster Bridge ....

I imagine they'd punch a hole in most things ....

Engine room was pumped out by the emergency services and the hole sealed ...

Though I doubt that speed was a factor.
