Whats going to be the river flow situation this weekend ?
The flow gauge at Maidenhead Bridge gives some indication of the improvement and, as I believe the Jubilee River is closed, this would be representing true flow.Outlook and information for boatersRiver flows are slowly beginning to decrease, however they are still very strong, with most locks displaying our red stream warning boards. You are advised to check the latest river conditions before deciding to head out on the river.
There are many boats with very tight mooring lines, some listing, some sinking or sunk along the river bank. Owners are reminded to make regular checks on their boats to ensure that they can cope with the fluctuating river levels and changeable weather conditions.
River obstruction
Due to strong stream conditions many of the red and green marker buoys marking shoals and obstructions on the river have moved out of place. There will be shallow areas and shoals that are unmarked. If you are navigating in the coming weeks please do so with extreme caution. One red marker buoy has been carried downstream and is currently sitting underneath the centre arch of Henley Bridge, please proceed with extreme caution in this area.
