Thames River Conditions 2014

Quite a lot of yellow boards nor being displayed - a few at the head of the river but mainly MApledurham down to Chertsey with Red at Marlow.

I thoroughly enjoyed this weekend on my boat. I could feel the flow picking up in Kingston this morning and felt a bit sad that rain will stop play for a bit. It doesn't seem to take much these days, we use to be out almost every weekend up until a couple of years ago.

Oh no, Teddington too now! Was hoping that the Draw-Off would be reducing the effect. Fingers crossed for Teddington Head on Saturday!

I drove down to my boat to slacken the ropes at 8pm, expecting to find a fast flow and a level rise. It looked very calm to me.

It's looking good, now decreasing. Heavy rain on Sunday, but fingers crossed for any die hard who doesn't go for an annual lift out:encouragement:

And the Met office got it wrong again. Heavy rain for days to come, I'd imagine that reds are imminent

Very pleasant tied up at Sonning as I type. Raining hard but calm. The river seems to have risen overnight but the flow is very slow.

I would have thought it would keep rising after the weekends rain but it seems to be dropping at the moment.

Understand via Twitter that Shepperton Ferry has been suspended due to red board conditions.
