I have seen on the www about the queens diamond pageant on the Thames next year (june3rd) and was wondering if anyone was considering going along ?, we have till end of the month to register a interest .

I am up for that. Sounds great to me!
But from what I see, I can't see that sailing yachts can take part because it's between Battersea and Tower Bridge....?? Or am I reading it wrong?

Well , I had a peek at the booking form and it says about a group for sail / vessels needing airdraft of over 5.5 Mtrs so I guess that means us

ok, I read it again more closely and, yes, there is a section for keel boats above 5.5 airdraft. They will take park in an "Avenue Of Sale" down river of Tower Bridge. I'm going to register!

The registration for this opened quite a while ago, and if you need to stay up that way for night before or after, you may find that all the marina berths have already gone. So if you're serious about taking part, best get berth-finding right now.

Yes we are going... already booked into St Kat's (months ago) - apparently they are now full... but don't take my word for this in case other boats have pulled out.
We have also entered our boat for the Pageant (Ave of sail).
Fingers well and truly crossed that we get selected!!

I am pretty sure that St Kat's is full. We plan to go there next year and e-mailed them about possible dates in June.
Their helpful reply said that there would no problem provided that we wished to visit after the 10th and before the end of June.
This seems to me to imply that they are booked up before and after those dates.
We were able to book for a week from the 20th

Think you well find that some sort of overnight berthing will be provided after the event.On the practice it was in West India.
