Hi All,

Just buying my first boat, currently in Penton Hook and my fathers boat is in Bray, I just wondered what other options are out there and at what cost?

Most of my cruising will be bray to Cookham & Henley etc...

I don't mind another 30 mins in the car for a nice marina or is riverside worth considering?

I look forward to your thoughts

Kind Regards
Chris

Hello again!

Best get her moored at Bray, it's easily the best location with Henley just 4-5 hours upriver and downstream you can pop into St Kats within a day and a half!

There's a great club in the marina, a really nice obliging engineer and plenty of facilities. After nine years up and down the Thames, I'm not tempted to move.

Hope to see you soon!

John

My fathers Boat a Pedro 36 is in Bray so I have known it for many years and its close to home and a good stretch of the river so that is most likely where I will go. We haven't been down to the tidal for a few years now but they were great holidays down to London.

Bray Cruiser Club went up to Osney bridge, and down to Rochester this year! There are some good cruises organised for members, and a load of nice people to cruise with! I would love to see Interceptor joining in!

Gotta get it bought first! Osney they did well I am assuming they couldn't get under?
Sounds Good though, what's your boat I will keep an eye out when im next over there.

Bray is the best!

Not that we have had a boat anywhere else on the Thames, and we have only been there for 6 months, but it does seem to be very convenient!
