Hello, Heading upstream next week, thinking of spending a couple of nights at T&K ,just asking what its like,is it as quiet as it looks?have sailed past but not been in marana, would appreciate any info. cheers,Dave

I have an annual mooring there....very well equipped....great stafff and extremely helpful.....loads of space....reasonable bar on site but needs a taxi if you plan to go elsewhere :-)

Depending on when you are there I would be more than happy to share a glass or two (I"m in Madrid at the start of the week)

Cheers
Simon

Taxi thing very true regarding the 2 pubs by the sonning roundabout [can`t remember names] the stroll there was fine but the walk back after a few sherberts was a right treck .

The Bull at Sonning is an excellent pub, great food and always very busy. http://www.fullershotels.com/rte.asp?id=74

There is also a rather good Indian restaurant further into Sonning.

It's a shorter walk from the Uri Geller moorings, downstream of Sonning Bridge. Don't forget to make a donation at his postbox, or you might wake up to find all cutlery on board has been bent! ;)

The Ivy.......30 seconds walk from the Bull (our local).

If you eat at the Bull...go for the specials board rather than the rather large standard menu: too much of it seems pre-cooked/bought in of late.

Nice place....well kept Fullers....good wine list.

Dave, I cannot comment on the marina, but did you get your immersion heater sorted out? For reasons various, I havent been out on the river too much this year and not had a chance to wave on my way past. Everyone OK on the 'Moon'?

HF
Hello,Hugh, probably do the immersion as a winter job everyone is o.k. cheers for now Dave.
