Hi all

I'm designing a Thames information poster with the basics on for both tidal and non tidal thames.

Apart from the obvious things like use of VHF, contact numbers, barrier info etc what might be useful for a beginner?

For a newbie since May this sounds like a splendid idea: where do you intend it to be used?

There's a huge amount of helpful info in the Visit Thames booklet: are you thinking of a poster version of this or something else?

If it's for non tidal then please include lock etiquette and how to use locks when on public power.

Wherever and whenever really. There are a huge number of leaflets and booklets produced by the EA and PLA but I thought it would be nice to have the basics in one place on a poster.

I think you need to separate tidal and non tidal two very different environments with not much in common. The PLA do an excellent free Leisure guide with a chart which covers pretty much everything, I wouldn't try to compete with it.

Agree to this. Not looking forward to next year's updated version with amended speed limits though!
