The flooding in Richmond is on the front page of The Evening Standard - great photo of someone sitting on top of their semi-submerged car. Silly place to park though.

The Reading University Head of the River Race has been cancelled for this Saturday (10th) due to Strong Stream caution red boards being displaye(!)

Can anyone tell me if the water level dropped up river from Staines? It is continuing to rise here (now level with my lawn) and running very fast. Still, the ducks are having fun.

Waay high at the moment Uncle Albert's mooring is actually under water. It is however only slightly up on yesterday but there's zillions of gallons on the flood plains that still has to run off.
