Thames Customer Charter 2017/18

Thanks for that Tony.
Most interesting bit surely is.....

"Reduce unlicensed accommodations to 50% of those accommodations identified as unlicensed as at 1 April 2017."

This will be interesting to say the least, presume it will cover all marinas ?. Do know of one chap relying on the EA losing its case, who will be spitting blood if the EA decide to charge him for the "accomodations" at his home mooring
Scuttlebut doing the rounds at CART is that they are not the least bit interested in taking over the snakes nest of running of the Thames unless a very substantial dowery indeed comes attached from Government funds.

Thanks for bringing that to our attention.

I'd like to see the term "Double Manning" abolished with extreme prejudice, as it where.
A lock-keeper working at two locks is HALF-MANNING, not split, nor double manning. The term double-manning must have been invented by the EA spin doctors to cover the staff shortages and cuts that have been implemented.

You might say that; I couldn't possibly....
A lockie is managing two or three locks - so from a management point of view he's double or triple manning locks.
For the boater's point of view it's as you say....

But then who are boaters in the scheme of things.....
