How many celeb's as well as these can you think of, who live on the Thames in Berkshire.
Rolf Harris.
Michael Parkinson.
Paul Daniels.

Uri Geller. Sonning.
Isn't Roger Daltry in the lovely Tudor manor at Shiplake? Just along from the new place.
Andrey Borodin (Russian billionaire on the run) owns Park Place Henley ( withe the modest grey boathouse just upstream of Marsh Lock). £142m paid for the estate!
Daltry does not fit the age bracket of the identity I beleive the OP is seeking!
There must be loads! Vince Hill at Henley, too
I think Vince has sold up.
On another tack, you have to guess which celeb riverside owner has been arrested in the Jimmy Saville witch hunt. His identity has been with held.
Is this the one that the paper called the '82 year old Australian entertainer living in Berks' .....
Yes , wonder who that could be lol
In my opinion YES! but I don't ask you share it. It just seems to me they are throwing as much mud at the wall as they can to see what sticks.Witch hunt ?

South Oxfordshire: (all had Thameside properties)
Kevin Maxwell - Moulsford
Michael Caine - South Stoke
Agatha Christie - Wallingford
....Worrell-Thompson ; just below Shiplake Lock
Sir Michael Rake - Hambleden
Wasn't sure about Dusty Springfield (her funeral was in Henley) but I've found this reference
At that time Dusty was living in Oxfordshire, relishing the renaissance of her career after her Eighties success with the Pet Shop Boys. Once Lee and her husband John Alkin cooked dinner and sailed down to her house, mooring their boat at the edge of her lawn so they could eat together.
It must have been in the general Henley area as that is where she is buried the funeral service was at Henley too.I had also read that quote about Dusty many years ago and it came with a photograph of her suppsed house, but I could never find it!

The house was called Little Hill and it wasn't on the river it was at Harpsden near Henley. Googled itYes I agree, my suspicions were towards Wargrave, maybe up the Loddon?
