Thames 'burst' its banks at Twickenham on Friday

Some strange peeps in Twickenham, I like the guy wading to buy a ticket at the submerged pay machine and the woman who appears to not realise her dogs have short legs:)

I think you mean strange peeps on Eel Pie ;) in fairness the traffic wardens were proabbly waiting for it to go down and then hit them. Richmond Upon Thames traffic wardens have to be seen to be believed...

That's Laurie with Sam and Dave. She is the wife of Jake Riviera (founder of Stiff Records). I doubt if the guy at the ticket machine is an islander as they would normally have a permit and the islanders are generally mad not stupid.

Richard, that quite likely is Trevor's Range Rover, I hadn't thought of that. I keep forgetting when he complains how poor he is that he has a Range Rover and an E-Type.

I know it was a bit of a monster today but THREE fire engines at 1830 down water lane ? What were they going to do drain the river ?

Can't help feeling the removal of the walls on the front may just help the flooding that little bit more. Some casualties tonight !

They were giving islanders a lift to and from the bridge in an inflatable.

You would think that this was a once in a lifetime phenomenon rather than an exaggerated twice-a-day event.

Ok that must have been after I ran (round the houses) past at 1830, they were all standing there looking at the tide..they had gone when I ran back (bout 40 mins later) and the police men (the pretend ones?) were giving them piggy backs..

And if I ever meet the idiot who screamed down the lane from the white swan in his Range Rover (not the flooded one) I shall be having a polite word....
