Local knowledge sought chaps .

We are thinking of visiting St Kats marina during the summer but concerned that river navigation may be restricted due to the 'lympics . Are our concerns unfounded ?

Cheers

Terry

Hi Terry,

During the Olympics, access to/through the River Thames is restricted only to those vessels that can prove they already have either moorings pre-booked within the London Olympic zone, or can show that they have moorings booked at the other end (if they are traversing through London). There is a web site detailing both access rules and info o moorings, but if you don't already have a mooring, then unfortunately I think you may already be too late.

There is lots of good info on the following thread here, and further links within to tho official information web sites...

Good luck,

Hi Terry - also, if you haven't already booked a berth, I think you'll find it impossible to get into St Kat's a few months either side of the Olympics.

Ireland sounds like a grand idea :-)
