Terrible Scottish Weather

A chentleman shouldn't ever be drinking from a plastic glass no matter what the attire. Standards are slipping old chap.

The weather looks wonderful, but the dusky maidens may not bring in the tourists...

PS: it wasn't so nice in the Sound of Sleat on Wednesday, and a bit bouncy round Ardnamurchan...

The last time I went camping on my motorcycle up at Durness, the weather was glorious, for days, until one morning about 3am, it turned. The wind increased to gale force, flattening my tent, and the rain came lashing down. So I dragged the tent into the toilet block, and packed up to head home. It rained torrents for 200 miles or so, leaking into every part of my waterproofs, and every turn was a potential disaster. Crossing the border the sun came out, and my waterproofs steamed. It was no surprise, because I've seen it all before. They just have a different weather system to the west of the Caledonian canal.

Not sure who the Dusky Maidens are - I think they are a couple of loose Vatersay Lassies but cannot verify that - they behaved well and were not much trouble - the one with the blue blouse was a bit of a handful later when the B52s kicked in....

Don't know why my previous post was deleted, but you are on quite thin ice, Wiggy.
