Hi, I have the usual telescopic poles to hold up my flybridge cover. Two of them in fact one forward and one closer to the rear of the cover. I find in strong winds they can get blown down and then the cover fills with rain water and is in danger of being ripped open! The poles are held in place under the cover and have rubber feet to grip the GRP floor but it still happens and as my boat is in Spain I can’t just pop out and check it every weekend.
I am wondering if something like a tripod type of pole would stand up to a lot more gusting of wind?
does anybody know of something like this that is made for holding up boat covers? I did use an old camera tripod for a while but it eventually broke in half!
Any ideas folks?
