Tender Solution for F43

Last edited:
We have a Phantom 43 with an airdeck (ie. very light) lodestar dinghy and a 5hp outboard. When underway, I store it on it's side against the transom which has left plenty of space to get around the platform. Launching is relatively easy, just chuck it in the water and attach the outboard. Soot has not been a problem so far.

However, I'm now looking for a slightly bigger tender, and engine, for being able to tow the kids in water toys. Those Hurley davits look very interesting and might be just what I need.

My main concern is obviously blocking the platform (I need to take some measurements) but also the soot I mentioned earlier. As I said, so far the dinghy has stayed clean all summer but I'm worried that the part hanging over the water will become stained. There's isn't an answer to this other that trying it out but as a sort of relevant side note to the OP's question, it would be interesting to hear your experiences on how the overhang created by the dinghy alters the airflow on the back. For instance, will only the outside of the dinghy get stained or the inside too?

Don´t know if it´s allowed to write about things that your own company sells here? :ambivalence:
With the Pound rate to the swedish Crown you would do a great deal buying the davits I sell:encouragement:
The price is 2190SEK which would be about £170 plus shipping

Hi Rickard,

Many thanks, already have snap davits ready to fit, Passerrelle seems to be the best option but might have to wait until next season due to cost
