Currently I have a 2.6 Waveco slat floor Tender which I use from a trailer as a tender to my swinging mooring. I donot take the tender on the boat as my boat is only a 19 foot sports cruiser.

This little boat is excellent and fine with the two of us on board with the rest of our stuff. If we take other people however it would be a little too small.

I am thinking of buying the Waveco 3.0 m version with the airmat floor. I know that 3.0 is 0.4 m longer than 2.6 but I was wondering from people with experience if it feels much bigger in use. I think the weights are similar because of the different floor.

My Yamaha Malta outboard will be good for both

Regards

Dennis

The airfloor makes the biggest difference to stability, use and handling. Becomes far more rigid. a 2.6m-to 3.0m makes a massive difference to usability and stability. Yes a Malta will push both, but it is going to be used hard with the bigger boat.
