I got that sinking feeling as I put the tender in the water last weekend to row to my mooring for the first time last year.

It's an inflatable with a hard bottom (a GRP type material I guess) - there's a hole in the hard base near the join with the inflatable sides.

What's the best way to mend this ? some kind of epoxy or a patch ?

Thanks

You can get grp repair kits - a bit along the lines of puncture repair kits that we've all had for bikes - try that and keep the resin off the inflatable sponson

If the hole is in the actual join, where the grp meets the tube, you can patch it, use a two pack inflatable adhesive, its much better stuff, if its actually in the fibreglass bit, a car accessorie place will have a grp repair kit, or use marine expoxy filler as has been said, keep the resin off the inflatable bit. Make sure you buy the correct adhesive for the tubes, either that for hypalon or PVC materials, they are different.
