I'm looking for a new tender for Sheolin which meets the following spec:

Circa 2.6m (I have a Waveline 2.3 and it's too small)
Davit eyes are a must. Can they be DIY retrofitted if not standard?
An inflatable keel preferred, but not essential.
Solid transom.
Don't care about colour.
PVC (cheaper, less durable) or Hypalon (expensive, longer lasting).

I seem to be homing in on the Honwave T27 IE, which is PVC, but happy to steered elsewhere.

Highfield 260 Classic ?
It has aluminum bottom and inner floor skin (keeps floor dry - it has a bilge !), solid davit lifting points, solid painter and towing points. Solid transom. All part of the aluminum main hull.
Comes in PVC or Hypalon. Three chambers and pumped up easily enough.
I have inherited this and it looks very good - managed to get it into the davits by using the painter eye at the front rather then the forward davit points inside the hull but doesn't seem to be an issue. I think this may be how RAN sailing have put it in davits as well so the davit eye 'spread' is a little narrow but there are other options for the front lift point.
Not used it yet :)

At the other end of the price spectrum, we’re very happy with our new inflatable v-floor Boatworld 3m. Was £700 plus delivery if you can’t get to S Yorkshire!

One thing you might want to consider is the impact of the V shaped hull when going ashore onto a beach or shingle. Last year I went for a Zodiac cadet 270 aero but I don't insert the board which forces the floor to go into a V shape. This leaves the base flat (I know this is said to affect the performance but makes no difference to me). I've been very happy with the Zodiac.

I love my Honwave T27-IE, but I did buy it secondhand and I believe there are dinghies from other manufacturers which are very similar indeed.

I have a Tohatsu 9.8 2-stoke on it, best outboard in the world, and it goes lovely, but it's only plated for 8HP. I believe some models of Waveline are plated for 10HP, see this thread.

The Honwave also rows quite well. I have mine on davits.

We have a Waveline 270 with airdeck, which we chose at it seemed to have many good detailed design features. Been very happy with, other than the Waveline logo going sticky due to UV (common issue with many similar boats).
Not difficult to add davit points - I put a couple of U Bolts through the transom and glued two D Ring patches on the inside of the front tubes. Need correct solvent to prepare (most important) and glue to do these, but then should be as robust as professionally fitted ones.

Seems to depend on the model, Graham, which is why I wrote as I did.

I googled before posting and can find some sites listing them as 8HP and others as 10HP, so IMO OP should check before buying if that's important to them.
