Hi,
First post so thanks in advance for any replies.
As a serial boat owner who has still not learnt the lesson, I am looking at something more cost effective than my last foray into ownership i.e. Over-powered boat in St Kats.
To that end I am looking at taking on a more "value" boat (30' 70's cruiser) and keeping it a mid-river mooring to remove the biggest previous constraint, which was locks/berthing/general hassle of getting in/out of St Kats. With the intention of actually using it occasionally this time.
I've managed to get an option on a mid-river mooring near Putney Bridge. Issue I now face is tender storage. Seems there isn’t anywhere on that stretch of the river where a tender can be left (all be it a very old one with the outboard removed, i.e. little interest to being stolen - as much as that reality exists).
Am I missing something, as there are a number of mid river moorings in that area. So presumably there must be somewhere to embark/disembark, leave the tender. I dont mind a short journey (upto a mile) if needs be.
Currently its the only blocker to get me back on the water and starting to haemorrhage money again. Therefore any advice greatly appreciated. Thanks
