I am looking for a temporary mooring between Cookham and Hurley locks for May and June next year, to enable us to spend more time on the Thames.
Don’t want a marina or anything like that as the boat is a bit big (60x11'6) and we live aboard. I have had one offer in the Bourne End area but that’s for later in the year.
Happy to pay a reasonable rate, just need to know that if we go off for the weekend the space will be there when we get back.

Anyone got any ideas?

Might be worth contacting Steve Ryan-Bell who looks after the Medmenham moorings for Mr Copas.
There are often large "barges" moored on that meadow.

Do me a favour, and stay away from Bray on weekends eh? /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

Hey theres plenty of room in the lock even with the barge in there /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Seriously I tend to go through Bray at times when others are not about for that reason.................

Spade Oak Wharf (end of Coldmoorholme La) often has barges moored for extended stays. I think mooring fees are payable to a thames trust, no idea about terms though

Yes I have stayed there before but cant find any contact details for the trust.

The moorings at Mednemham dont do long stay so I am still looking.

Think its the "Thameside Preservation Trust" might be worth speaking to incument bargees or else pretty sure there are signs on the level crossing gates.
