What is the best omnidirectional aerial to work a telly on the boat to stop the wife getting bored when I am enjoying my pottering around!!! The answers nothing to do with chick both overboard!!!!! Berthed in Cardiff.

STATUS cant fault mine .. BUT, I do re tune TV (digital )if at different marina , and always have good reception . Also sometimes switch the booster from high to low setting as to much signal gives ghosting .

Hit and miss

I use Glomex with a booster (all quite new) but it still all seems very hit and miss depending on where you are. Often the best signal and most channels available seem to be mid Channel in the Shipping Lanes when you are best not to be down below watching telly! Digital channels are all or nothing where at least you can often get a ghost of a signal on analogue. Will things improve when analogue is switched off?

MBM did a review in the Oct mag. Status came out top. We have one on our boat, but it is not brilliant, as our Marina is very sheltered.

I am hoping the situation will imprive when the digital channel broadcasts increase the power next year.

We take DVD's as a back-up.
