That is the Teleflex logoI assume it’s Teleflex! Works perfectly except it creeps back from its setting around usual cruising revs. I’ve tried tightening the screw underneath the lever to no avail, is there another method to ‘stiffen’ the action of the lever?

I’ll add some sand as well….?Pour some seawater on the cable to stiffen it up a little![]()
I’d REALLY like to avoid taking half the saloon apart if possible, I was hoping there would be a handy friction screw I hadn’t found. It’s not a great problem, I can push through a couple of hundred revs and it will settle back to where I want it. Just occasionally gives me the willies when I hear the revs suddenly start to drop ?Maybe dismantle and give it a clean and allow the friction part to get a better grip?
That’s the screw I tried tightening. Brilliant, I’ll give it a go tomorrow, thanksThere's a screw in the hole on the underside of the lever below the red button; undo it and wiggle the lever off; pop off the plastic fascia and immediately above the spindle should be a screw which control the friction brake; turn it a tiny bit clockwise until it's stiff enough.
Yep, got one of those tooMy teleflex steering has a knurled knob for steering tension, that also does not a lot !
To get behind the throttle would involve a fairly major dismantle. Penfold’s solution should be a doddle, providing there are no hidden booby traps along the way.I was reffering to just dismantling the throttle control rather than the whole boat![]()
