What does the panel think about the expected life of throttle and steering cables? Mine are getting on in years, although still working smoothly and I do routinely grease the fittings I can get to. I am wondering whether they should be replaced after a set number of years use.

Unless they are sticking ,have degraded outer plastic ,bent rod ends or are stiff in use.
Overlong cables with big bends to loose excess are also worth changing
