Well, I've finally done it; I've got the keys to a Teal 22. It's out of the water atm, and has gallons of rainwater in the bilges. Much of the internal wood and wiring looks like I need to replace it, and I'm slightly overwhelmed for a minute, here. There is a brand-new bilge pump laying in the boat, and I believe the engine is fine, but there's no battery.
I've bought a run-of-the-mill 063 type battery to start the engine and to run the pump in the meantime, but obviously I'll need to charge it and I'm planning to add one or two 120Ah leisure batteries soonish.
As with all things boating, every question answered just raises further questions, and you can be sure I'm going to ask a lot, but here's the first one:

I'm looking at an "ABSAAR 12V 11A (10A) DC Fully Automatic Electronic Connect & Forget Heavy Duty Battery Charger" on ebay for around £40. Should this satisfy my immediate needs and also in the future for regular topping-up of the batteries?

Try over on the Practical boat forum....I can't explain the crossover, but I think you might have more luck with your boat over there !
