Hi I used it to make a new sink surround in the galley and a saloon table. Looks great and is standing up to the enviroment well.
all in all very pleased.
Have you considered a resin top eg corian? Can be made up by a supplier to a template and will include hole for a basin, and is waterproof and will probably last longer than the boat.

I am just looking at this option to smarten up my galley and fwd heads/shower area, although its all is sound condition, the 35 years old look is a bit drab (as SWMBO never fails to comment )
I noticed whilst sailing an AWB a few weeks back that all interior wet areas were finished in what I assumed to be 'Corian', so done with care I think it is just right for a little winter project.
Ive never used it, but I understand its all workable with regular tools and I would think that with a few templates made on board could be fairly simple to fabricate.
