a small strip of caulking has come out of my teak deck where two panels meet, What's the best gunk these days to squirt into the gap?
TIA

Can you sand it ?
The techs fit the teak and squirt sika in between .Leave it to dry a few days ( despite the instructions saying dry in 45 mins )
Looks a mess .Then excess is firstly cut off with a knife , then whole lot crucially light sanded .
Seen / witnessed it loads of times here in the Med .
Yes I think so but never tried. The blurb says it has high seawater resistance, is used for floor traffic and can even be overpainted.

I haven't experience of that Sikaflex so can't directly compare, similarly PU40 needs a few days to become fully cured and like the Sikaflex is dry in about 45 mins. I use a petrol soaked cloth to get off any excess but only while it's still wet or it doesn't work. I used it to seal windows and rigging fittings, not needed on my EVA fake teak :D

For under £7 and easy local pickup I say get some and try it. Especially if most of the tube's going to get wasted.

Interestingly I'm in a similar position. The only issue I have with Sikaflex 290DC (Other than the eye watering price - especially locally to my boat) is that on the technical blurb it says using a primer is 'Imperative'.. And Sikaflex primer makes the Caulking look cheap!!!
