A supplier of boatbuilding timber has quoted me a price of £139 (which includes a £23 charge for setting up the spindle moulder) for supplying 11 metres of teak D-section moulding, size 5/8" x 3/16"; ie approx £10.60 per metre.

Anyone know if there is a supplier of off-the-shelf teak mouldings where I can buy it at a lower price (I've looked at Howells of Poole's website but it is not listed.).

nb Mahogany would do instead of teak

Davies Timber in Birmingham did mine. Took them a section of what I wanted replicated, discussed what type of wood it should be and came back later for the shaped timber. Mine also needed an indent in the reverse to account for the overlap of the mouldings.

KJ Howells in Poole, excellent people and I do think they have that size, but will always nmake you some, cheaper then that for sure.
