If you run the water without the engine running then you risk water running back up the exhaust into the cylinders. His procedure is correct.

Any marine engine relies on it being running to keep the exhaust cooling water out.

Thanks, got it. I did not appreciate that the pressure would be high enough to fill up the exhaust so fast.

Everyone in the med uses k2r. It’s great at removing oily stains from teak. Every med shop sells it but you can probably amazon it in UK.

Do you use the “marine” version called Spotlifter http://www.k2rmarinecleaners.com/
Or the domestic version “ Stain remover spray”?

I don’t actually know. I don’t actually technically use it literally myself(!). It’s in a pale blue and white can, exact same as Jared video, and not any of the ones in your link.

He's still firing on all cylinders - I've been in touch with him plenty during last few weeks regarding various crazy schemes. Latest (in support of IT economy) is he wants to buy a new huracan 50/50 with me for a few years and in time for next summer. I keep it at my place in France, he has it for August, I have it for the rest of the year. His only ask is that it is orange or lime green, or possibly that light blue colour This idea tells you that he's in good form

Whilst I like the general Architecture of that deal I wonder if a saleable colour with a mental wrap might be more fun?

The only limit is your imagination. And I recall TCM was well ahead of the crowd with his purple Leopard interior so should be able to spec something suitable outrageous for a Lambo.
