I have been teaching one of my crew how to helm the boat and wonder if anyone can give me any advice?

Start her off in light airs where she will be very good spotting all the cat's-paws.

Edited so as not to upset the ladylike Lilly.

You really don't want to upset her!

Some very good responses but Lilly is now a little confused about her sexuality! As some people call her "The devil dog" I think some of the people who have upset her should look out! She can jump like the dog in the old John Smiths adverts, so it is not just your ankles you have to worry about!

Lilly, the dog in the pictures has only relieved herself once on the boat. If she would do it more often it would be less of a problem. I feel guilty during long trips and we always rush her ashore as soon as we arrive anywhere. I am going to plant a tray of grass and see if she will use that.
