Not heard hereabouts from TCM recently, hope he has not taken his bat home because of comments elsewhere on this forum. Some of us value his input and it would be a shame if we lost it (or is it that he won't use a computer nowunless he is paid by the word!).

Yes its a bit quiet isn't it. Is there something good on TV instead? Perhaps everyone down south is busy building an air raid shelter or something.

PS Carrot voucher in post this weekend for burgee.

I suspect, under the guise of Ornatholgy (Swans) and Marine biology (Oysters) he has been up in Pwllheli trying to blag a couple of berths, one for him and one for Haydn. This is part of a strategic switch to sensibility, he has already made many good contributions to Scuttlerbut, we will give him a five gun salute and when he launches his new ragpot, quite looking forward to it:))

He will probably tell you he is busy with work but we know from the bio that retirement to long ocean voyages is imminent.

To paraphrase Miss Keeler - "You would say that wouldn't you"!!

To introduce balance, how about a regular, highly paid, column by someone at the other end of the spectrum? - lets say a Bayliner owner on Windermere. Could be fascinating - would obviously give a massive boost to circulation (may not do much for your ABC rating though). One month it could cover interesting places to visit around the lake, the next month...er....interesting places to visit around the lake, the following month.....er.....interesting plac......

Oh perhaps not then

March 2005 - Thanks for reminding me Jim.

I am actively seeking alternative locations (Costa Brava is favorite at the moment.) Marina fees + 6 return flights per year less than current marina costs.

Regards
