From the Fairey Owner's website, it appears that someone else has experimented with copper sheathing, with similar results; details <A target="_blank" HREF=http://www.faireyownersclub.co.uk/forum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=1253>here</A>. It must be something to do with the water in the Med..........

Next step is obviously to try sheathing the hull with fablon.

Cascover sheathing was very popular and very successful in protecting wood in the 60's, but no cop for preventing barnacles!

OK - so we've established that this sheathing stuff is no good. What about coppercoat? I keep hearing conflicting reviews as to effectiveness.

funnily enough I nearly made the same post at the time, Miss Daisy in capable of nearly 40 knots so further proof that sticky back copper is not really suitable for high speed applications.
