I have a Taylors paraffin stove. As per installation instructions, there is an in-line filter in the paraffin supply line. It has been there twelve years. The manual says nothing about changing or cleaning the filter, and none of the "troubles" in the "trouble shooting" guide list clogged filter as a possible problem. Do I just leave it alone for another twelve years?
This would be in keeping with my general maintenance policy for the stove. After a turbulent early relationship we have settled and are contented together. The main lesson has been that if it is working OK don't futz about with it. Getting it working nicely after "servicing" is always a pain, and even a thorough clean can put it in a very bad mood.
