I've installed the heater - an, 079D, and it chucks out enough heat to make Jissel nice & toasty even last weekend, BUT...
I have to fiddle with the needle valve every few minutes or the flow stops.
I have a fuel head of around 30 ins - The book says 48ins is best, but 24ins is feasable, so I ought to be OK.
I've stripped the valve and cleaned it - the needle doesn't look especially worn and when screwed in, it stops the flow effectively and there's a good flow if I open it a full turn.
I've even tried putting an old car fuel pump similar to the one offered by Taylors, but to no avail. There might have been a slight improvement, but not enough for it to keep working more than 10 mins unattended.
oh, and the fuel seems clean.
Any suggestions?
