Targa 53 OPEN

As some of you may seen from social media, Fairline have announced the Targa 53 OPEN. This is the last of the new model developments that new Fairline inherited from the old company. Due to the maturity of the design (all of the engineering had been completed), and bearing in mind it's a variant on the Targa 53GT, this model didn't received the Mancini/Vripack treatment. Despite that, it's still a good looking machine:

The in house team did however enlarge the sunpad that can now accommodate a William 325 jet tender. Controversially, it retains the limited height mid-master cabin but bearing in mind that the majority of these boats will be used as day boats for villa owning Med boaters, that was not deemed to be a impediment to launching the boat. On the plus side, it's on shafts, it's sleek, has loads of deck space and is a Fairline!

The boat will be launched at Cannes and Southampton. First one now in build and a couple have been sold already.

They could have gone for a huge fender locker instead

I know you me and Henry like big high sided flybridges, but there are a few customers who want a sleeker sportier boat and will make the choice to sacrifice some areas.

Bearing in mind all the design and engineering had been done its not a lot of money to gett his boat out and even if they only sell a handful the return on investment for the new fairline is pretty good

By that logic, they wouldn't put engines in boats destined for Asia!

Why is it called Open, Is it because the roof opens?

"open" means without patio doors.
Seems to be driverless (I realise it is a rendering but you can render people). The boat looks very nice but sheesh that's a crummy background for a marketing picture

I noticed the driverless pic too! One of the other renderings does at least have some totty on the foredeck.

Perhaps a more interesting background would detract from the boat?
