Hi All

Does anyone have a targa 43 or are familiar with them, I wanted to know what storage there is on the deck area

Does the drivers seat area lift up for under storage as it does on my s37 are there storage areas under the curved seating area

Obviously there is a huge tender garage but the tender will be in there, we briefly went on one at burton waters but it was a sold boat they told me so couldn't poke around too much

We have looked at others in this size range, v42 is another but we feel we are struggling for storage space compared to our sealine s37 which is a smaller boat, this is a important factor as our kids normally take a friend each making 2 adults 4 kids and I am a bit concerned where will will put everything

thanks again

V42 is much smaller than a t43. I have a t40 and a friend a v42. The hulls are the same length.

There are many t43 for sale in Mallorca. One in our marina shock wave has been on the market etc and eBay for over a year. Don't know whe you want to keep it but buying in the med wil get you a bigger spec boat plausibly for less money.

2 adults and 4 kids is what we have today on our t40. As long as th kids don't mind top and tailing they will be fine. For info the t4o has a bigger saloon and smaller heads. The v42 has bigger heads ( which I think is a waste of space) smaller saloon and slightly wider rear cabin.

thanks for that yes I have seen the one your on about shockwave and yes I agree its been for sale for ages, why I don't know

there was a nice one in swanick with jd yachts but that's sold now looked a nice boat too that's probably why its sold

keeping it on the south coast but don't mind buying from the med if its the right boat at the right price

cheers

We had a T43 back in 2005. There is loads of storage under the beds in the rear cabin, and I believe in the saloon under the seats. We upgraded from a Targa 40 and the difference was dramatic, both in terms of space and shafts over stern drives. You won't be disappointed.

Good luck

Andrew

I don't believe so. There was storage under the cockpit seating and space in the engine room at the rear under the tender garage.

I have added some photos of The Targa 43 with the Targa 40 in front.

Targa 43

Hi
You will be struggling with 6 people on board as only 2 bedrooms and very limited floorspace and seating in the cockpit
You need a targa 52
The helm seat has a wobbling gas strut mechanism so no storage below as I recall

I used to have one, lovely boat, 4 people very happy, 6 gets a bit busy. some t43s have a bed conversion panel for the saloon. - In the cockpit the horse shoe seats around the table all lift up with big lockers under everyone, one or two have a drain built in for swimming kit etc. the helm seat has a cupboard below it. the door folds down. There is a cupboard for tools and stuff just by the transom gate. Under the tender garage is a lazarette that provides a lot of storage but low ceiling height. you access it via a side door so its good to use when everyone else is sitting down. I used to keep tools down there.`down in the saloon the top portion of the stairs lifts up and there is a waste bin or storage. the lower part of the stairs on mine had an aircon unit in it. The saloon seats all have loads of room underneath. There is a big hatch in the middle of the saloon floor with a very big space that on mine was lined with plywood. loads of room under the bed in fwd cabin. on mine water tank and holding tank were under the rear cabin beds.

As an S42 owner I concur that the space they offer ( for the money) is second to none. I had 9 people out in mine last weekend and there was room enough for all in the cockpit and then some...
