Targa 30/Kad32 feels slow and max rpm 3400

No update on the turbo yet I'm afraid, been so busy and really need a day to dedicate to the engine.
I changed only the G4 bulbs to LED bulbs. I only went for 1.5w. It is ok but I imagine most would want a brighter bulb.
One has broke already!
I would suggest the pre made bulb and housing option would be better for most. Although for £1 each, it might be worth just trying an LED bulb?

Not planned to go down to the boat until the 30th sep :(

I managed to get down to the boat this week for a day and this is what I found when removing the exhaust side of the port turbo. It seems to have seen better days!!

And a pretty picture to make me feel better!!

Oh my goodness, those blades are not the shape they came from the factory

It looks like that "lump" of corrosion at the bottom of the picture is the culprit. Maybe you could gently remove that as a short term measure to see if things start spinning again, but an exchange turbo is probably worth thinking about. Also check that the exhaust elbow only has holes where holes were intended to be.

They don't look good but I don't think the shape is the problem even though you might loose a bit of power with the slightly smaller blade area. They really have a very bad and corrosive environment when connected to out drives, seawater is sitting like 40cm below the exhaust turbine in a sealed pipe so rust will just continue to build unless you use the engine a lot.
This is how one of mine looked this spring, the elbow had cracked in 3 places so had to take it apart. The engine still pulls almost max rev, maybe down 50-75 rpm's.
