Tap\'s - Shamrock Quay
Always been led to believe that Tap's restaurant was good, but went Tuesday lunchtime and was disappointed.
It was good to have real linen and clean cutlery etc, and the setting was good, as was the service and the wine, just the food that let it down. My wife had the sweet and sour swordfish steak with stirfried vegetables and when it came, the grilled swordfish steak was covered by one of those sweet and sour cook-in-sauces and the strir fried vegetables looked like yesterday's leftovers refried with a bit of soy sauce. I also had a German sauasage as a starter (can't remember which make) and it clearly had not been recetly grilled and I suspect just microwaved to re-heat.
Perhaps I am getting too fussy in my old age but this was a disappointing way to celebrate our anniversary.
