Just wanting to replace the tap in my heads and also the shower fitting too. From a what I can see the existing fittings Are the orignal ones.
my boat has a porcelain sink and the mixer tap hole seems to be fairly standard.
the question is...are ordinary bathroom fittings okay? Or do I need to be paying much more for horrible plasticky whale ones?

I can see a nice chromed brass tap in screw fix that will fit. I assume that will work with the pressurised water system on the boat?
what about the shower? Is a thermostatic mixer one from screwfix okay?

I have successfully used domestic taps on a boat galley, although caravan/motorhome suppliers have more choice than chandlers.

Not sure if a domestic shower head will work well if your pump does not have a good flow rate.

I have had very good success from a thermostatic mixer valve out of sight to supply a steady temperature to the shower. One of these (this shows the one I used but not from this supplier) 15mm Pegler Prestex PEG402 Thermostatic Mixing Valve - TMV

I would prioritise a visit to a caravan of RV component retail supplier. I agree with Plum that it is unlikely a domestic shower hose and head will be very effective with the water pressure likely available on most yachts. I think you might get a dribble and not a shower and because the thermostatic mixer might only work with the correct flow - I think you might need manual control (I note Plum's comment - I'm thinking of a domestic integrated unit). We use domestic mixer taps in the galley with out problem. I don't recall but you might need adaptors to connect your existing pipe work to a domestic component - but it cannot be a major problem or I'd remember it :(

We have used standard domestic water spouts and shower heads (we do have any mixer taps) on our latest yacht. They are much nicer, better made, and stronger than any marine fittings we could find . As they are a standard domestic size, they are easy to replace with a multitude of models from different manufacturers that will all fit the same hole and hose size.

Our boat pumps have no problem suppling adequate pressure to these fittings and in the galley manual foot pumps are used.

Standard domestic taps and kitchen mixer taps seem to work well on board with the usual 2 to 3 bar ( 30 or 40 psi ) 12v Shurflo type pumps.. or higher , for that really crisp shower sting, pheoar!
If that helps you decide..

Any half decent modern quarter turn from off to full on “ceramic disc”taps won’t -or shouldn’t-drip when turned off.
The internals can be replaced in the future as a simple swap in/out in the form of a cartridge ( if that makes sense ?) for less than a tenner..
I don’t think you have to go for a posh name brand, just avoid the really cheap and flimsy ..

Anything half decent on “this weeks special offer “ would work !

When our supposed "marine" switched shower head packed up, replaced with domestic one which works fine on 2.2 bar. We don't have thermostatic mixer.

I have taps and shower. My 20yr old boat has separate taps and shower hose/head but a mixer shower tap would be more convenient. I'm sure that metal/chrome ones are available.
