Well,
I appear to be getting there by the 'death of a thousand cuts'. Took the boat out today to test out rebuilt injection pump to starboard engine. Boat runs fine, easily starting (both port and starboard), running smoothly, with normal temps and oil pressure. Did not run her flat out but took her up to 3000 rpm, with plenty to come, should max out around 3,800 rpm. Some smoke during run & a dirty transom on return to port, 1650 hours on engines, Am I being paranoid or should I get the injectors overhauled, several sites on the net say that it is an easy job to remove and refit the injectors post overhaul, or do you know different?
Thanks for any advice in advance.
