Just as a matter of interest:
I've just finished reading " voyage for madmen" by Peter Nichols for the second time. The first time was 2009 and some thing I didn't notice. Bernard Moitessier's yacht after "Joshua" was called "Tamata".
In 2010 while I was sailing about the "Sporades" we stayed for 3 days next to a steel red yacht in Panormus on the island of Skopelos with a friendly French Skipper called Terry. He told me that the yacht was built for Moitessier, I took it that it was designed by him as "one of many" But now I think it was Moitessiers yacht. It was named "Tamata" and he said that it was Tahitian for something. On trying to find a photo on the internet (which I could'nt) it seems there are people on forums looking for it.
Luckily I took a photo. Is this the real one. Any body know ? Photo attached (you'll have to sign in to see it)
This is 2010 in Panormus
