Tam Lin Launched!

Now all I need to do is stick the Treadmaster down in the cockpit, find out why the new VHF radio works so poorly, fix the echo sounder, stop the flexible water tank from leaking, pump the fresh water out from beneath the cabin floor, re-install the tiller pilot, put up the curtains etc. etc.

Now all I need to do is stick the Treadmaster down in the cockpit.

I have just removed the Treadmaster from the cockpit of my Fulmar and found that it had been poorly bonded when first fixed. It allowed water to be trapped and this has seeped into the gel coat and caused air bubbles in the gel coat to burst. These areas are going to be ground back and then filled before teak panels are being fitted.

This is only being posted as a warning if you are just resticking original Treadmaser back down. If left untreated it this will start full blown osmosis.

Great that another Westerly is back on the water.

Brand new Treadmaster to replace the slats that were bolted to the deck and let the water into the quarter berth so I hope it will be OK.
